Record Breaking GCSE Results in 2011
Chichester High School for Girls is celebrating an improvement in GCSE results with a record breaking 63% of pupils achieving 5 or more grades at A* - C including English and Maths. 72% of students achieved at least 5 A* - C grades.
25% of all grades achieved were A* -A grades which represents a 5% increase on last year and again breaks previous records. 5 students achieved a clean sweep of A* and A grades. 49% of all grades achieved were A* - B and 75% A* - C.
Many of our students will now continue their studies at The Chichester High Schools Sixth Form on the courses of their choice.
Fiona Oliver-Watkins, Headteacher commented,
“We are extremely pleased with these results. There are some excellent individual performances. We congratulate not only those who obtained the highest grades, but everyone who achieved GCSE success, especially if it was their personal best. They have all helped to make this a very good year. The results reflect the high standards of the school, the hard work of our teachers, and the support of parents”.
