A level Exam Results
CHICHESTER HIGH SCHOOLS SIXTH FORM
The High Schools Sixth Form is celebrating another excellent year of A Level results. Their 177 upper sixth students achieved an overall pass rate of 99% with 48% at either grades A or B.
As students met on Thursday morning in the Sixth Form Centre, the sleepless nights of nervous worry were soon replaced by hugs and kisses all around once they opened their results envelopes.
Two students, Alex Few and Laura Glaubes, achieved outstanding results with grade A in all their four subjects.
Katie Draper gained the three grade As (in English, French and History) that she needed to take up her place to read English at St. Hugh's College, Oxford.
The following six students also achieved grade A in all their subjects : Rebecca Keiller, Rebecca Meloy, Holly Pickering, Felicity Polden and Kathryn Saegert.
Headteachers Graham Horsewood and Fiona Oliver-Watkins both expressed their delight:
"We are really thrilled by these results. They confirm and reflect the excellent comments made about our joint Sixth Form in this May's OFSTED Report. They are a real credit to the hard work of the students, the commitment of their teachers and the support of their parents. The work ethic of this year's Upper Sixth has been excellent. Almost all of them can now look forward to taking up their chosen university places around the country next month."
