Standard uniform Must be worn from 1st October until the start of the Summer term, but may be worn all year.
 

Essential Items

1.     Regulation NAVY skirt of knee length 
     (one style only is allowed and only available from school stockists, Ricara and Meritz).
2.     Regulation NAVY (NOT black) trousers. 
    
Trousers should be tailored (NOT jean style, flared or tight), made of non‑stretching, non-fade material 
     and no longer than 1” off the ground.
3.     Regulation WHITE blouse with revere collar.  Long or short sleeved variations are available.  
     
Blouse material should be sufficiently ‘thick’ and opaque for the pupil not to need a T shirt underneath 
     the blouse.
4.     Regulation NAVY blazer with school badge.  (COMPULSORY).  Navy buttons.
5.     Regulation NAVY pullover – red stripe in v-neck.  (Optional)
6.     Plain black tights (if wearing a skirt), white or navy socks (if wearing trousers).
7.     Shoes - a flat-heeled, black formal shoe.  Heel maximum height 2 inches (5cm).  
     
(It is important that the shoes are well-fitting).  NO boots or trainers.  Fabric shoes are not permitted.
     All laces should be black.
8.     Outdoor coat - any suitable style.  NO denim jackets or ‘hoodies’. 
     
(Blazers should be worn to and from school.  Outdoor coat should be worn on top).

 

Optional Uniform Items

Scarf - plain NAVY or RED.
Hair slide - should be kept to a minimum and should be in navy, red or white only.
Visibility aids for journeys on dark mornings.
An umbrella for wet weather.
 
Please Note
Jewellery should be limited to a watch and one pair of small studs or hoop earrings worn in pierced earlobes.
No other piercings.  Make-up must not be worn.
Non-uniform items, e.g. belts, jewellery, hoodies will be confiscated and kept until the end of the school year.
Nail varnish is not allowed.
 
Summer Option
 
The summer option may be worn for uniform from the start of the Summer term until 1st October.  Two changes may be made to the standard uniform.
 
1       School polo shirt may be worn instead of a white blouse.  The blazer is left at home.
2       White ankle socks may be worn instead of plain black tights.

For KS3 Physical Education - PE bag to contain:                     Optional Extras

1.     White polo shirt with collar                                                   1.  Blue/black jogging trousers (winter months)
1.     Red cycling shorts or red football shorts                              2.  Red pleated games skirt
(Athletics/Gym/Dance – not for Games)
2.     White socks
3.     White non-marking trainer shoes

SUMMER OPTION FOR UNIFORM
 
Points of clarifiation
 
Pupils are allowed to wear the summer option for uniform from the first day of the Summer term
until 1st October.
 
The Summer Option is
·         No blazer (leave it at home).
·         School polo shirt instead of a white blouse.  Pupils may wear this untucked.
·         Plain black tights or white ankle socks.  Footless tights are not allowed.
·         Knee length school skirt (with front pleat) or tailored navy trousers.
·         School v-neck jumper if pupils are cold in school, or travelling to and from school.  
     
(Cardigans and hoodies are not allowed).
·         Black school shoes.  They should be completely black.  
     
Fabric shoes and trainers are not allowed.  Laces must be black.  Sandals are not allowed.
·         Jewellery - only one pair of small hoop or stud earrings is allowed.  
      
Earrings must be worn in the ear lobes.  Other piercings are not allowed. 
     
Jewellery other than earrings will be confiscated until the end of the year.
·         Nail varnish, extravagant hair styles and accessories, e.g. flowers, braids are not allowed.
N.B.      If pupils do not want to wear the summer option uniform, they should be in standard school uniform.  This means that they wear a blouse and a blazer at all times (jumper optional), with black tights and black shoes.
 
To test if a skirt is knee length, pupils should kneel down.  The skirt should touch the floor.  If the skirt is too short, pupils will be asked to get a 'new' skirt or to wear trousers.
 
 
Correct school uniform should be worn in school and travelling to and from school.  Any other non-uniform items, e.g. belts, hoody, cardigan will be confiscated until the end of the school year.
